Origins of the method

Integrative Gestalt Therapy is a scientifically substantiated, humanistic psychotherapeutic method that has been recognized by the Austrian Health Ministry. It was founded in the United States by both Fritz and Laura Perls and Paul Goodman in the forties of the previous century.

Gestalt therapy is an integrative approach with elements stemming from psychoanalysis, gestalt psychology, field theory, existentialism, phenomenology and Martin Buber’s dialogic principle.
